Incredible, chilling, frightening, fun, and challenging. These are just some of the words that come to mind when trying to describe what must be one of the best games I have ever experienced. Yes thats right, you don't just play this game, you experience it.

In this most recent edition you play as Leon, you may remember him from Resident Evil 2. Except he isn't on basic relocation assignment anymore, this time he is on government business. What is that you might ask, well just play the game and you quickly find out(as in the first movie). I don't want to reveal any of the actual stroy to you, but let me assure you that its one with enough turns and actual decent story, that if I didn't have the controller in my hands I would swear I was reading a book.

But enough about the story, lets get to the visuals and gameplay itself. The first thing you will notice is the entirely different view. There is no more camera above the room angles and rough navagation, they put you right into the action with a great over the shoulder third person view. And while it may be third person, it controls like an FPS which means accuracy counts in this game. The controls themselves are generally easy to grasp and actually decently smooth.

Another interesting point about this game is the amazing replay value. With the the huge selection of weaponry in the game it just begs to be played over and over. And of course after you beat it on normal you have to try the professional mode. There are also a decent number of extras to play around with, most notably the mini game Mercenaries. Play as Leon on four different levels and try to unlock the secret characters who each have their own interesting quirks.

So, if you were to ask me if this game is worth buying or just renting, I would definitely say this is a must buy for any gamer.
